The Holi Hullad is a night of colour buzzing with excitement. It is going to be an enjoyable evening with a lot of fun, hasya poetry, dances and thumri, tambola and Bollywood Trivia over a cool drink of ”˜Thandai’ which is normally served on Holi   festival day.

Also there is scrumptious traditional Holi vegetarian dinner served with hot piping jalebis made and served in front of you and the traditional gujjias as desserts.

A lot of seats have already been booked for an exciting Holi Jam session. The function and ticket details are in the attachment. Tickets are not available at the venue so please make a booking before March 20, 2011.

And all this is for a benevolent cause as the proceeds from the function will be donated to: Queensland Flood Relief Fund in Australia and Rickshaw Give Away Project ”“ The Holi Program has joined hands with SIFE India SRCC Rickshaw project and pledged 10 Rickshaws in which the Shri Ram College of Commmerce, Delhi university students have modified the old rickshaw as new one has the head cover extended – not just to customers’ comfort but also for the comfort of rickshaw puller as well. Other features added to the rickshaw are better seating cushions, a dustbin and a newspaper, magazine and water bottle stand. The students have also teamed up with a local hospital to help provide health screenings, eye exams, eye glasses and medications for the rickshaw drivers and their families.

Dubbed as ”˜Life on Wheels’ ”“ the students of SRCC aim to reach a target of 200 rickshaw drivers by 2011. Sydneysiders must do their bit to support this project wholeheartedly.
