Farhan Akhtar with Milkha Singh who sold his story just for one rupee
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is an upcoming Bollywood film produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra; starring Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor. Milkha Singh has sold the story for just one rupee. The remuneration from movie will be used for the benefit of needy athletes. The name of the movie comes from the last words spoken by his father, which was to save his life from the riots of during Partition of India. During the partition, Milkha lost his family members. The story talks about his perseverance as an athlete and also as a courageous human spirit. The movie will be shot majorly in India. Parts of the movie will also be shot in Tokyo, Melbourne and Rome. Initially, A.R. Rahman was supposed to do the music, but later the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy was confirmed as the composers for the film. The shooting of the film is scheduled to begin in mid 2012.
