Indian Consul General in Sydney invites the Indian community in Sydney to attend Flag hoisting ceremony on August 15 at his residence 2 Pleasant Ave East Lindfield NSW 2070.
Here is his message:
Consulate General of India, Sydney
Dear Friend,
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to celebrate Independence Day (August 15) at my residence (No. 2 Pleasant Avenue, East Lindfield, Sydney, NSW 2070).
As in earlier years, there would be a flag hoisting ceremony, singing of the National Anthem and reading of the speech of the Hon’ble President of India, at my residence, after which we will move to East Lindfield Community Centre (which is next to the residence) for a cultural performance and serving of refreshments.
Ø Since the Community Centre will be available to us only from 1100 hrs., please note the change in time of the programme : which will start from 1130 hrs. (instead of earlier time of 0900 hrs.) at my residence and we will then move to the Community Centre at 1145 hrs.
Since I do not have contact details of all Indians or persons of Indian origin, I look forward to your assistance in getting the word out to other members of the community, including Indian students, to come in large numbers on this important day.
(Arun K. Goel)
Consul General of India
Sydney.
Please note : Free parking is available at East Lindfield Shopping Centre, adjacent to the House/Community Centre.
