Death sentence for Nirbhaya’s rapists

Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Akshay Thakur and Pawan Gupta who had gang raped  Nirbhaya in a most brutal manner last year in December in Delhi have been sentenced by the judge at Saket district court today with death penalty. Nirbhaya survived for 13 days after the attack as whole of India gathered to protest and pray for her. Nirbhaya ”“  the ”˜Fearless’ was named many names by the people and was referred as ”˜Damini’ as well though her real name was Jyoti.

The leader of the gang Ram Singh was found hanged earlier having committed suicide according to Tihar Jail officials.
