Ravi Chanana and Marcell Wever in Oh! India

Director Shourya Nidhi’s play Oh! India won second spot by the judges in this weeks’ Wildcards section. Ravi Chanana in Oh! India as the auto driver was good and impressed as the play got quite an applause on the last day and Marcelle Wever was excellent in her role of a frustrated Aussie tourist stuck in the traffic in India on a tuk tuk.

Young Arnie Dhamoon acted as the beggar and also as the camel driver. Kiran Pradhan provided music and the Tuk Tuk designed by writer Cindy Neilson’s husband Peter was just too good. Couriered from Dubbo the tuk tuk arrived in Sydney to give Oh!India an authentic setting. Dialogues by Cindy were crisp, sharp and witty as Ravi grabbed quite an attention and made audience laugh. The results for people’s choice will be announced later.
