Come and support Ramayan Dance Drama on October 18th
Vedanta Centre of Sydney, as a part of its fund-raising programme, is organizing a Dance Drama: “RAMAYANA” to be performed by Shri Raghavan Nair Indian Dance Centre at Baha’i Centre,107 Derby Street on 18th October 2014 at 6.30 P.M.
Vedanta Centre has embarked on an ambitious project of building a multi-purpose facility with a community hall, lecture hall, library and a guest accommodation at 2 Stewart Street, Ermington NSW with existing building renovated and restored to its original glory and have called it the Vivekananda Memorial Centre.
The building has completed its Phase I of the project and seems quite promising with a stream of devotees working diligently to see it to fruition under the guidance and vision of Swami Sridharananda. The centre was inaugurated in early May. While the work still goes on the centre still needs a lot of support – Financial, Physical and any other from everyone as Sydney sure is lucky to have this iconic spiritual place with beautiful views of Sydney city.
Vedanta Centre has organised this special Diwali fundraiser – an enactment of the play ‘Ramayan’ which is a huge hit in Sydney for the last two years. ‘Ramayan’ has also performed in New Zealand and is about to be staged in the US early next year. The enaction of the favorite Hindu epic during Diwali is popular in India and is now a favorite of all Sydneysiders thanks to Poornima Sharma and her talented cast. Do come and support this fundraiser in the form of ”˜Ramlila’ a beautiful and an emotional dance drama staged by talented Sydney artists.
