Vedanta  Centre  of Sydney, as a part of its fund-raising programme,  is organizing a Dance Drama:  “RAMAYANA”  to be performed by  Shri Raghavan Nair Indian Dance  Centre  at  Baha’i  Centre,107 Derby Street  on  18th October 2014 at 6.30 P.M.

Vedanta Centre has  embarked  on  an ambitious project of building a multi-purpose facility with a community hall, lecture hall, library and a guest accommodation at 2 Stewart Street, Ermington NSW with existing building renovated and restored to its original glory and have called it the Vivekananda Memorial Centre.

The building has completed its Phase I of the project and seems quite promising with a stream of devotees working diligently to see it to fruition under the guidance and vision of Swami Sridharananda. The centre was inaugurated in early May. While the work still goes on the centre  still needs a lot of support – Financial, Physical and any other from  everyone as Sydney sure is    lucky to have this iconic spiritual place with beautiful views of Sydney city.

Vedanta Centre has organised this special Diwali  fundraiser – an enactment of the play ‘Ramayan’ which is a huge hit in Sydney for the last two years. ‘Ramayan’ has also performed in New Zealand and is about to be staged in the US early next year. The enaction of the favorite Hindu epic during Diwali is popular in India and is now a favorite of all Sydneysiders thanks to Poornima Sharma and her talented cast. Do come and support this fundraiser in the form of ”˜Ramlila’ a beautiful and an emotional dance drama staged by talented Sydney artists.
