Actor Shahid Kapoor tied the knot, finally, on July 7, 2015 in Delhi, with young Delhite 20-year old Mira Rajput. The 34-year Bollywood actor met Mira a year ago when he took her number and pursued her as Ms Rajput wasn’t too sure due to the big age difference between them.

Although Shahid spent a few sleepless nights before the big day, the ceremony was conducted in a farmhouse in a closed, private affair with only about forty guests. Shahid had kept the details of his marriage under wraps as he felt their wedding is a “normal and regular affair”.

As the newly-weds appeared before the media, Shahid said,  “I refrain from getting into details. I thought that since I am here today, it was important to acknowledge it in front of the media, so I am doing that. Other than that, she is a normal girl and I am a normal guy, and we should treat it like something normal and regular. It’s my personal space and I won’t get into the details.”

The couple’s wedding outfits were designed by Kunal Rawal and Anamika Khanna. And the food at the wedding was strictly vegetarian as their Radha Saomi Satsang Baes guruji was also going to be present.

There will be a reception bash at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, which will again be attended by family members and close friends.

The couple will also host a grand reception party for Shahid’s industry friends on July 12 in Mumbai.
