Bollywood goes through another break-up with the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar heading towards splitsville. After 15 years of marriage, Farhan and his hairstylist wife Adhuna announced their decision to  separate “mutually and amicably”.

It has come as a shock to the industry and his fans as there was no speculation of them having any differences. They always appeared as a happily married couple with two daughters. Being responsible parents to two children, they have requested the media to give them the privacy they need.

It’s deja-vu for Bollywood as it feels like yesterday when Farhan’s good friend actor Hrithik Roshan and Susanne split in 2013. With Farhan and Adhuna, another love story bites the dust. The love marriages of Bollywood ”“ be it Anurag Kashyap and Kalki, Konkana Sen and Ranvir Shorey, Aamir Khan and Reena or Chitrangada Singh and Jyoti Randhawa have all gone through divorces. And the much talked love birds like Ranbir and Katrina, John and Bipasha or Ranbir and Deepika have also flown to their own nests.

What’s happening in Bollywood? Divorces, splits and break-ups have become the order of the day. Is it the dark side of the glamour industry or the curious eye of the media that breaks the sanctity of a marriage? Is it the non-stop busy schedule of shooting, acting and promoting the film that keeps the actors away from their family? Or is the proximity of beautiful and young actresses that keep the married actors away from their wives? It could even be that the better halves of the actors who are accomplished in their own fields and want their own space.

While the Bollywood paparazzi will keep their prying eye on the movements of the couple, and the reporters will try their best to speculate the reason behind their separation, we wish the actor doesn’t lose his midas touch and the couple still remains as good friends.
