The spirit of Holi walks Sydney streets

A marathon rain even could not dampen the spirit of Holi in Sydney as there were many coloured faces walking the CBD streets, thanks also for a respite in the afternoon with the weather clearing on March 19.

Vijay Jogia spiritedly entertained the small crowd at Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour with the famous Holi lyrics, ”˜Rang Bhar De”¦’ and the young crowd in the enclosure providing the actual visuals.

His calls to Gujaratis in the crowd for a Garba went unheeded but not for the Bhangra mob who were always ready to accompany the beaty music. There were many locals among the dancing crowd although their coloured faces made them hardly distinguishable.
