The company  are casting for the lead character “Sunny Shah” for a movie called SPIN on a major American TV Children’s Channel. SPIN is the story of an Indian American girl and her journey to embrace herself and her culture. Its a film that talks about music, identity, self-discovery and family. It is a story that talks of being Indian and inclusive of other cultures in a beautiful fun way.

Here’s more about Sunny –

She is between  13-16 years old,  Indian, the feisty waitress at her parent’s Indian restaurant in Queens. She constantly struggles with her identity: she feels too Indian for the world, but too American at home. She is naturally brilliant & clever, an A+ student who’s the head of the school’s coding club while having a secret passion for music. She’s able to create the hottest tracks with her ability to see music in everyday sounds plus her coding skills. Sunny wants to be a DJ.

We would love to give young girls from the Indian-Australian community the opportunity to audition for this beautiful part. Would it be possible to request you to please put the poster up in your upcoming print and/or online edition?
