Panjtara Idols organises a fun filled harbour Cruise -n-Booze
By Manju Mittal
Panjtara Idols organised its first cruise in the beautiful Sydney Harbour with amazing sunset and dance party for ladies only. Everyone enjoyed an exceptional experience and the start of the spring season dressed in summer outfits on a relaxing Sunday of September 17, 2017.
A great concept ‘Cruise-n-Booze’ event was sold out a week prior and attended by more than 350 ladies. We all reached at King Street Wharf on time as cruise departed as scheduled at 2pm. We made it on to deck inside as we sipped on booze and slowly got to meet others while listening to live music and enjoying wonderful views. Music, entertainment and the wonderful harbour views calmed us for the afternoon that unfolded into a really enjoyable cruise.
The cruise was a packed though there was plenty of space for all of us to take great pictures on a sun set harbour. Ladies mingled and mixed with each other making friends while enjoying spectacular views. Some sat on the roof to enjoy Sydney’s magnificent view and clicked pictures from their smart phones. The sea was calm and little breeze reminded us we were on a boat and gliding gracefully over the water. The whole afternoon was an interesting affair filled with dance performances and photo booth activity. While all sorts of interesting activities kept ladies busy in their mood of fun, ”˜7 flavours Ricardo’ dance performance stole everybody’s attention. As soon as DJ started playing Bollywood hit numbers, there were almost 350 women on the dance floor gyrating to the beats.
Great entertainment and good food are the main ingredients for a memorable event. Delicious lunch was served by Lal Qila Restaurant which was the icing on the cake. It was a little more chaotic during lunch time but strangely all was managed comfortably.
Organising team Sucheta, Mani and Sheena did an excellent job by taking care of the ladies and the rest. They thanked sponsors, media and helpers for continued support in making the event into a memorable one. Cruise came to an end at around 6 pm, everyone back at the Wharf smiling, relaxed hoping for another fun filled cruise next year all for a noble cause that is to help the Breast Cancer foundation.
