A grand ”˜Sakhi Divas’ 2018, a la Bollywood

The busy Blacktown suburb was transformed into a grand Indian Bollywood celebration on Saturday evening with Sydney’s gorgeous Divas dressed in dazzling glamorous outfits. If one asked where everyone was it was at ”˜Sakhi Divas’, of course, held on April month 28, 2018 at Dezire Function Centre, Blacktown. The venue had a Bollywood ambience, decorated with Indian motifs and women dressed to dazzle in their best attires and jewellery.
The force behind Sakhi Divas, Gayatri Kohli and Reetika Bhalla delivered a great show and they made sure that everybody had an experience of a lifetime. A great concept ”˜Sakhi Divas’ was sold out a week prior and attended by a large number of ladies. The event aims to achieve and fulfill the innate desire in every Indian woman to dress up in Bollywood glamour, surrounded by the warmth and love of friends.
The evening commenced on time at 6 pm with the gracious Nickey Sehgal and Gurpreet Brar acting as MC’s for the evening. The whole night was an interesting affair filled with dance performances and lots of games. Activities included a photo booth and a Tatoo stall, a sure hit with women pampering themselves with all kinds of tattoos. Once the performances finished, DJ Upkar started playing Bollywood hit numbers, more than 300 ladies on the dance floor gyrating to the beats.
Evening games had some fantastic prizes including discount vouchers, lucky draw, gift hamper and lots of prizes sponsored by Mrs. Joyti Tuli from Tuli Jewellers, Saree Haven Rose Dogra, Brand Ambassdor of Sakhi Divas 2018, Safal Tulli, Nikita Sharma from Pricebeat travel and Vikas Paul from Fitoor Boutique. Highlight of the evening was the Sakhi Divas 2018 Diva Contest. Best Vivacious diva Kaur Sona, Enchanting diva Elicia and Best Dressed prize went to Vinti Anand and Divya Flora. Judges congratulated all the proud winners of the night.
Great entertainment and good food are the main ingredients for a successful event. Delicious dinner was served by Dezire Function Centre, it was a little chaotic during dinner time but strangely all was managed comfortably. The event was well decorated by Kookie’s Coo – My Creative Nest’s Reetika Bhalla. Harjinder Singh, captured the event with his excellent photography. As special token of appreciation, surprise presents were given to ladies at the end of the event.
Event organisers Gayatri & Reetika thanked sponsors, media and ladies for their support in making the evening memorable one. The whole process and set up on the day was just perfect and the experience quite professional in its appeal. The event was a great success with all looking forward to many more such future ventures to unite Sakhi’s in Bollywood style.
