NSW Seniors Week Festival is from Monday April 9 to Sunday April 16

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is taking an active part in the NSW Seniors Festival offering many small walk tours. See  www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/seniorsweek  and book your place.

If you are able to offer your time as a volunteer as well as enjoy bush walks, visit the Kalkari Discovery Centre at Kur-ring-Gai National Park and enrol as a Volunteer. There is nothing like putting something back into our wider community and Parks NSW might just be the right fit for you.

Sri Om Care, in the Senior Week, on April 14 presents a free cultural event from 10am to 1pm at Toongabbie community Centre, Cnr Targo and Toongabbie Road, Toongabbie. There is special performance by dancers of Kalalayam Dance Academy, Punchkula, Haryana, India along with local seniors of Sri Om Care Foundation. Everyone welcome.

Indian Seniors Group (ISG) is organising on April 15 a workshop with Swami Shuddhaanandaa Brahmchari on ‘Mindfulness and Meditation’ from 2pm onwards at Leisure and Learning Centre, Chambers Court off Pembroke St., Epping.

The workshop will cover:  Introduction of speaker and the participants ❖ Introduction to the Workshop in Mindfulness ❖ PHYSICAL REJUVENATION ❖ Yoga and Stretching Practices ❖ Pranayama and Chi practices ❖ MENTAL ALERTNESS ❖ Guided Meditation and Mindfulness Meditation ❖ SOCIAL RESPONSIVENESS ❖ ECONOMIC ETHICS IN OUR DAILY LIFE ❖ SPIRITUAL CONNECTEDNESS (THE FOUNDATION) ❖ CONCLUSION AND FEEDBACK FROM THE PARTICIPANTS.
