Come for Govardhan Puja at New Gokula Farm in Cessnock on November 10
New Gokula Farm in Cessnock invites all to their biggest festival of the year, Govardhan puja (a.k.a. Sweet Hill Festival) and Go Puja (a.k.a Happy Cow Festival) on Saturday, 10 November.
This marvellous event, in the midst of farm, is reminiscent of how Lord Krishna subdued the pride of Indra, the king of Heaven and manifested into the magnificent Govardhan Hill, which still exists in the district of Mathura, near New Delhi in India.
All families are welcome to make/ bring sweets or savouries to decorate the hill with. Kindly ensure that the offering has not been tasted and does NOT contain any eggs, gelatine, artificial flavours or colours. Bring your offering by 11:45am for it to be placed on the hill.
On Sunday, 11 November, New Gokula Farm will celebrate life of Srila Prabhupada, founder Acarya (great spiritual teacher), who established the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a home where the whole world can live in. Because of his selfless service, the ancient Vedic wisdom is now spread all across the world and growing. Do join in to glorify His Divine Grace.
