One week left to nominate remarkable women for WOTY awards

Nominations for the 2019 NSW Women of the Year Awards close in one week, with the Minister for Women Tanya Davies today calling on the community to nominate extraordinary women they know by next Sunday.

Nominations are sought to recognise women who excel in business, are inspiring role models, have made significant contributions to the community or are young leaders.

“The Women of the Year Awards celebrate remarkable women across NSW that are excelling in their field, supporting those around them or paving the way for others,” Mrs Davies said.

“With only one week until nominations close, I encourage everyone to acknowledge the achievements of women in our State by nominating someone deserving for these Awards.”

The 2019 NSW Women of the Year Awards will be held in Sydney on Thursday 7 March ahead of International Women’s Day, and are sponsored by First State Super.

First State Super CEO Michael Dwyer encouraged people to nominate an outstanding woman for the First State Super Lifetime Achievement Award.

“The Women of the Year Awards are a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the contribution and achievements of women in communities across NSW,” Mr Dwyer said.
