Now the gang-rape happens in Hathras, India, Manisha this time.

Nirbhayas are happening in India all the time. Nirbhaya in Delhi, Disha in Mumbai and now this 19-year old girl in Hathras who was gang raped. Priyanka Reddies, Bhanwrin Devis happen daily with 1.7 lakhs of rapes that happen in India. Caste affliction, internet, girl/boy ratio a society where boys are preferred, gender bias are some of the causes with corrupt system covering up these horrible episodes. The boys know they are protected, the criminals in Mumbai know they will be saved, are walking free and in denial.

The family of a Dalit (formerly untouchable) woman who died after she was gang-raped has accused police officials of cremating her body without their permission.

The 19-year-old Manisha Valmiki was allegedly raped by four upper-caste men in Hathras district in northern India.

She was grievously injured and died in a Delhi hospital on Tuesday after fighting for her life for two weeks. And the girls’ alleged attackers have been arrested and a fast-track court has been set up to hear the case.

Nirbhaya got justice after eight years. Disha Saliyan’s killers are hiding, her family gagged to not even speak or grieve openly. This poor Hathras girl was brutally raped, suffered multiple fractures, paralysis and a gash in her tongue in the horrific assault that drew parallels to the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape. The police without paying heed to the family protests cremated the 19-year old’s body, another gang rape case covered up in India where rapes happen day in day out.

Nirbhaya, Disha and the Hathras girl, first they are gang-raped, then the system covers up in a brutal and heartless manner. Rape of the girls, horrible ways the body is treated and the family gagged with small amounts thrown at them as compensation. Pathetic really.
