Harman Foundation celebrates gala night with ‘Light & Hope’ Annual Dinner

Harman Foundation, a Sydney charity organisation focussed with supporting people facing with domestic violence, the foundation is determined to help every person affected and provide a cushion of comfort and safety. The Foundation organised a Gala fund raiser annual dinner “Light and Hope” on  April 29, 2022 at Bowman Hall, Blacktown.

The aim was to fundraise for domestic violence victims while enjoying a generous atmosphere and goodwill spirit filled with music and dance performances- a mix of Bollywood, a bit of classical and Punjabi Bhangra mixed with fun and food.

Bowman hall was packed of audience and it was a night full of soulful members. The program began with National Anthem and Shabd by Gureet and Tegam. Guest of honours of the evening were, Michelle Rowland, Stephen Bali, Kevin Conolly, Dr Geoff Lee, Ms Andrea Lamas and Club President, Kay Kelly, Club Vice President, Jack Millerand Partner Pat Mills, Business development manager, Simon Graham and many other Councillors from Blacktown, The Mayor, Tony Bleasdale, Councillor Dr Moninder Singh, Councillor Liivingston Chettipally, Councillor Kushpinder Kaur and Director City Living, Vanessa Parkes attended the event. They acknowledged Harman Foundation contribution and its role in raising the much needed funds.

The official part of the program commenced with presentation of a video Mens health, Ruma Mundi and victims doing testimonials followed by speeches and auction by Mr Khaira. Highlight of the evening was well coordinated Ruchi Sanghi’s dance company classical kathak performance. The cultural program kept the guests entertained, our local talented performers made sure they had the audience including guest of honours tapping to their selection of Punjabi folk music.

President of the Harman foundation Harinder Kaur and her husband, Maninder Singh as the Chair, acknowledged the gathering and thanked the guests appreciating the role of volunteers and members of Harman foundation.

Great audience and good food are the ingredients for a memorable evening. After the musical program and auction delicious dinner was served by Stanhope Haveli restaurant was an icing on the cake. Harman foundation helped make the evening a memorable event as it carries forward its work in helping the community . It was a remarkable and vibrant event with smiles on every one’s face, including members and volunteers who are proud to be working towards the worthwhile work done by the Foundation.
