Deepavali Fair at Parramatta Park on October 19, 2014
This year Deepavali Fair 2014 organised by Hindu Council of Australia will be held on Sunday 19 October 2014 at Parramatta Park in Parramatta. Hindu Council of Australia is the umbrella body for Hindus in Australia. The organisations’ aims and objectives are to represent Hindus settled in Australia from different countries of the world like Nepal, India, Fiji, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Deepavali Fair at Parramatta on 19 October is organised to promote our art and culture among Hindu and wider community in Sydney. It is the one of the biggest community event in Sydney being held for last 16 years with great success. There will be Music, dance and entertainment from 11 am till late and finish with spectacular fireworks and 40 Feet high Raavan Effigy burning filled with crackers. There will be food stalls, promotional stalls, rides for kids. Everybody is invited to participate in cultural programs, hold stalls and visit on the day.
Deepavali @Martin Place is a pre-showcase of Deepavali Fair scheduled to be held on Friday the 26th of September at Martin Place. It will be the second day of Navaratris celebrations and will include cultural events, mehndi stalls, free gifts and much more on the day (detailed media release attached).
