Ranaut returns for her third National Film Award
The 63rd National Film Awards were held on May 3 in Delhi and the winners conferred with awards in a lavish presentation by India’s President Pranab Mukeherjee.
From the main set of awards, S S Rajamouli’s ”˜Baahubali’ has won for Best Film, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Best Director (”˜Bajirao Mastani’), legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan for Best Actor (”˜Piku’) and Kangana Ranaut for Best Actress (”˜Tanu Weds Manu Returns’).
Kangana Ranaut, the queen of Bollywood is making waves these days with her series of spats with her ex Hrithik Roshan accusing Ranaut of stalking and more recently Adhayayan Suman, son of Shekhar Suman, on how he was mistreated by her ”“ a real life drama that is getting murkier by the day yet this actress is all smiles having won three national awards for her roles in movies: Queen, Fashion and now Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
Ranaut has been the recipient of three National Film Awards: Best Supporting Actress for Fashion (2008) and Best Actress for Queen (2014) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). She has also won four Filmfare Awards: Best Female Debut for Gangster (2006), Best Supporting Actress for Fashion (2008), Best Actress for Queen (2014), and Best Actress – Critics for Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015).
