Vimala Raman is the busiest star in the south

Vimala Raman, former Miss India Australia and a Sydney girl, is the busiest star in Tollywood cinema.

She appeared in Gayam 2 ”“ a sequel to Gaayam which hit the screens some 17 years back. Shot in Bangkok and Hyderabad  Gaayam 2 had been inspired by a Hollywood flick ”˜a History of Violence’ and was released in June this year.

The film starred Jagapathi Babu, Vimala Raman, Kota Sreenivasa Rao, Kota Prasad, Tanikella Bharani, Ravi Kale, Jeeva, Revathy and others. Vimala Raman set the screen ablaze with her glamour in Gayam 2. Some opined that she crossed the limits of decency in the film. But when asked she said, “I played Jagapathi Babu’s wife in Gayam 2. Physical intimacy is a part and parcel of a marital relationship. The role demanded several love making sequences with Jagapathi Babu. But I knew my limits and never went overboard.”

GV’s ”˜Ranga The Donga’ was another film this year with Vimala in the lead with actor Srikanth who played the role of a thief who steals anything except the lives of people. The character was quite different in the sense that it burgled  even the police officers’ houses.

Vimala is also appearing in Jagapathi Babu’s film Chattam.

Another upcoming flick starring Sumanth, Priyamani and Vimala Raman for December release is a romantic comedy entertainer taking shape in the hands of director VN Aditya. Kumar Brothers are producing this flick under the banner of Kumar Brothers Cinema. The title’ Raaj’ is being considered for it. Vimala has reportedly donned a bikini in it.
