Sukhwinder ”“ the most-sought after bachelor coming to Sydney on August 11

Sukhvinder Singh, the Jai Ho and Chhaiya Chhaiya singer, is on his way to Australia when he performs live in front of the Sydney audience on August 11 at the Hills Centre at Castle Hill. He said on his birthday which was on July 18, that he would like to marry and settle down. Sydney girls who are a big fan of the singer can line themselves up for this most sought after bachelor of India not only in India but internationally. The 41-year old singer says ”˜music is my life ”“ I hum, write, create and compose songs all the time though now   I have set myself the goal that I will have a wife by my side next year someone who does not necessarily have to be music-minded but should definitely be a beautiful-minded girl.”

Sukhvinder who came into international fame with his song ”˜Jai Ho’ for the film ”˜Slumdog Millionaire’ though many loved his earlier songs like ”˜Chhaiya Chhaiya’ from Mani Ratnam’s movie ”˜Dile Se’and many more. The Jai Ho song composed by A R Rahman established Sukhwinder’s fame firmly in everyone’s mind in India and internationally and hence we have an extremely sought-after bachelor coming to town next month.

Sukhwinder has also sung for Taal, Biwi No. 1, 1947 Earth, Daag, Jaanwar, Dillagi, Moksha, Thakshak, Tere Naam, Apna Sapna Money Money, Shadi Se Pehle, Shabd, Musafir, Chak de India, Om Shanti Om and Black and White ”“ popular Bollywood movies that have made him a household name worldwide.

He has been well received for providing playback singing for Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan in a total of 6 songs. Of these, “Chhaiyya Chhaiyya” from Dil Se.., “Dard-E-Disco” from Om Shanti Om, “Chak De India” from Chak De! India, “Haule Haule” from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and “Marjaani” from Billu as they all went on to become certified hits.

Sukhwinder Singh won the Filmfare Best Male Playback Award for the song “Chaiyya Chaiyya” whose music was also by A R Rahman and for the song “Haule Haule” from the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi the music was rendered by Salim Sulaiman

The song “Jai Ho“, sung by Singh, composed by A. R. Rahman, and written by Gulzar, was nominated a Critics’ Choice Award for Best Song and won an Oscar: Academy Award for Best Original Song. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media in 2010.
