An extremely talented Bollywood Playback singer Master Saleem came to Sydney and entertained live in a memorable evening thoroughly enjoyed by Sydnesiders. Saleem was born near Jalandhar Punjab. He is the son of the famous Sufi singer Ustad Pooran Shah Koti who was also the guru of Folk singers. At the age of six Saleem started learning singing, he was inspired from Pakistani Classical Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Saleem’s first album ‘Chake di..’ which was realesed when he was 10 yrs old. Saleem made his debut as Playback singer with song Mast Kalnadar from the movie Hey Baby under Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s Music direction. The song was a hit and launched his Bollywood career. This was followed by most well known Singles including Tashan mein, Maa da Ladla, Aahun Aahun and in 2010, Humka peeni hai, Shakira, Sara sara din, Awai lut gaya remix.

Master Saleem Concert rocked Bonnyrigg Sports Club 0n  July 8, 2012 was yet another unforgettable concert Sydney witnessed as it was a sold out event. The show started with a talented local artist Anand Arora , who sang beautiful song from movie Gadar- ‘Main nikla gaddi le ke’.  MC Nitin Madan welcomed Master Saleem on stage and and he immediately connected with the audience and soon he rocked the crowd by singing hits from Bollywood films. His Sufi singing was just out of this world. The chemistry between him and audience was a blast, performance mind blowing and his voice was even more amazing than it is in recording. It was amazing watching live this master of voice Master Saleem. My favourite moment was when he sang Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song from movie Namastey London  – ‘Teri yaad’, he touched the hearts of the audience with the song. Saleem has sung for a number of Bollywood films including Remix. There was so great  energy, great performance by an awesome artist. One had to be there that night to believe and see that music is the only universal experience that can touch everyone.

The most exciting exciting experience was meeting Master Saleem up close. Organiser of the show Ajay Singh must be congratulated along with his team of Hemu Negi, Adam Shah and Sahil for all the hard work they put in.
