By Manju Mittal

PECOSA Australia ( An Alumni Association of old students of Punjab Engineering College University & Technology, Chandigarh ) was started in 1991 in Sydney. It was a brainchild of Mr. Gian Banga who himself passed out from the institution 52 years ago. Since its inception the Alumni has been involved in providing scholarships to deserving engineering students every semester and have also been involved in R & D programs relating to students projects. PECOSA Australia has established itself as provider of leading scholarship fund as they also receive funding from U.S.A alumni for the scholarship disbursement.

PECOSA Australia is now planning to increase the number of scholarships and they have planned an event to identify and honour individual and entities who are working towards cultural & people integration between Australia and India. The function will be held at Grand Castle Hill on 16th March 2013 at 6:30 PM. All the proceeds from this social night will be contributed to the scholarship fund.

The organising team includes: Mr. Gian Banga, Mrs. Reena Sood, Mr. Sanjeev Khullar, Mr. Naresh Aggarwal, Mr. Harkamal Saini and Arunesh Seth. PECOSA Australia promises an evening that will not only entertain but also motivate all with ncouraging stories and experiences of the Awardees.

The world belongs to dreamers who believe in the most crucial social need which is to inspire and give direction to youngsters to follow their dreams and make them come true. This dedicated team of PECOSA is one such group.
