Parwinder Kaur of Rouse Hill died in the most horrific way after she came running out of her house on Greenborough Avenue engulfed in flames.

Parwinder had moved to Australia 5 years ago and detectives are trying to figure out how she came to be doused in petrol and set on fire. Neighbours saw Kulwinder Singh, her husband, who tried to stamp out the fire with his own hands as he screamed.

Parwinder was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition on Monday December 2, 2013 and died about 7.15am the following day. She died of 85 per cent burns to her body.

Parwinder had called triple 0 for help on Monday afternoon  herself and had earlier this year as well to report a domestic spat.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following her death. “All we know for certain is that she was doused with an accelerant liquid,” Detective Inspector Critchlow said of the woman, a factory worker.

Parwinder’s parents are not aware of her death but will be told when they land in Sydney in the coming days.
