As Indian community is growing in number in Australia and Sydney which is the first destination of choice for Indians migrating to Australia so also the speakers of Hindi growing. Suburbs such as Parramatta, Harris Park, Strathfield, Wentworthville, Toongabbie, Pendle Hill, Holsworthy, Liverpool are conspicuously dominated by Indian population, shops, Indian fashion and grocery needs. If anyone misses India one does not have to travel all the way to the country as some of our own suburbs here have become little Indias right here in Sydney. The first port of call is Harris Park or Liverpool or Wentworthville when one craves for Indian food, aromas and just plain Hindi language being spoken on the streets and roads. Hindi is now the top 8th language spoken at home in NSW and 7th in top ten languages spoken at home in Sydney. Here are top ten Hindi-speaking suburbs of Sydney:
