Excitement does not end with Prime Minister Modi’s visit and the gala public event organised in his honour at All Phones Arena on November 17, 2014. Year 2015 has already many highlights including the screening of popular movies under the stars at Sydney Olympic Park.

So get your picnic basket and rugs ready during school holidays if you are not overseas and head to a family outing and invite friends over for a great night watching movies on a huge screen.

Sydney Olympic Park’s popular alfresco cinema series, Movies by the Boulevard will return for its 14th season of free entertainment under the stars throughout January 2015.

Held in Cathy Freeman Park (opposite ANZ Stadium) on Olympic Boulevard at Sydney Olympic Park, the 2015 series of FREE Movies by the Boulevard will operate on evenings from 3-4, 7-11 and 14-18 January.

Curated to appeal to audiences of all ages and tastes, Movies by the Boulevard 2015 will showcase 11 feature films from various genres before culminating with a collection of short films rarely seen in mainstream cinema from the Short Soup International Short Film Festival.

Movies will commence on the big-screen at 8.30pm each evening. A quality selection of food and beverages will be available for purchase at Cathy Freeman Park from 6.00pm on all 12 event nights. There will also be kid’s activities from 5pm on selected nights.

Movie-goers will also find a great range of cafés, bars and restaurants across Sydney Olympic Park and unlike some other cinema events, Movies by the Boulevard attendees are welcome to take a packed picnic as well as cushions, rugs or low chairs.

Movies by the Boulevard has entertained hundreds of thousands of Sydneysiders since its inaugural season and more than 30,000 people are expected to attend the 2015 season.
