The International Film and Entertainment Festival Australia (IFEFA) opened on Friday 7 November at Auburn Reading Cinemas. The who’s who of the Indian community were seen at the event, mingling and waiting eagerly for the arrival of the stars. One can say with surety that Sydney community was dressed to the hilt to welcome and match the Bollywood glitter and glamour expected though not many stars of note one could recognise.

The festival was inaugurated by lighting of the traditional lamp by Aruna Chandrala and Mr Raj Datta. The stars were welcomed and introduced by MC Divya Dhingra and the audience was entertained by dance performances from the Piper School of Irish Music and Pallavi  Wardan.

While Bollywood actress Esha Gupta stole the show, a few other actors like Vipin Sharma, Rekha Rana and Ragini  Dwivedi received their own share of attention. Despite no screening of the films promised, everyone was lucky enough to get a photo clicked with the stars as they obliged everyone patiently and with no star nakhras.
