It’s the biggest battle for Bollywood. This Friday will witness the clash of two of Bollywood’s most awaited films of the year – Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani. While the battle is getting bigger, who do you think will be the winner?

Both of the films have lead actors, stellar directors, catchy storylines, exotic sets and the stars are promoting their films aggressively. But still they stand apart.  Rohit Shetty’s ”˜Dilwale’ has all the ingredients of a blockbuster – leading jodi of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, fresh talent Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, a bit of romance and action. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is an epic historical drama starring  Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and will be a visual cinematic treat.

While the DDLJ fans still believe in the onscreen chemistry of SRK and Kajol, the new generation is keen to watch the sizzling pair of Ranveer and Deepika. Dilwale has sexy cars and action packed shots, while Bajirao will witness the real life action of a warrior.  If Rohit Shetty made the most expensive song ”˜Gerua’ to ooze out the warm chemistry of Raj and Simran in the picturesque Iceland, Sanjay Leela Bhansali composed the music himself for Pinga and made Bajirao (Priyanka) dance though in real life she had a limp in her leg!

According to Vikas Paul from Friends India entertainment who is distributing Bajirao  in association with Eros in Australia and New Zealand, both the films are big and should do well.

“Shahrukh Khan is a big star, but Sanjay Leela Bhansali makes big films. My verdict is everyone will go and watch ”˜Dilwale’ on 18 December weekend and Monday onwards cinema quality fans will go for Bajirao Mastani. You can’t miss out on this film – it has an epic star cast and it’s Bhansali’s costliest movie made on a 100 crore budget. Dilwale has SRK and Kajol’s onscreen chemistry which Bollywood fans won’t give a miss either. We want both films to be successful, it’s good for the trade”.

So as the year comes to an end, treat yourself to some Bollywood Christmas magic at Events cinemas or at Hoyts!
