Debashish Bhattacharya performs at Lennox Theatre on March 20
Debashish Bhattacharya, considered the most accomplished Hindustani slide guitarist alive, will perform at Lennox Theatre, Riverside, Parramatta on March 20. He will be accompanied by Bobby Singh. Debashish Bhattacharya brings universal appeal to his exotic mesh of classical Indian and bluesy Western music.
Embracing Hawaiian slide guitar from his childhood in the 1960s, Debashish has created his own unique guitar technique and collaborated with guitar giants from John McLaughlin to Jeff Lang and Derek Trucks.
In a coup for Riverside Theatres, the Grammy nominated Debashish will be coming to us direct from WOMADelaide 2016. He has previously been included in the Sydney Festival program as well as being featured in USA’s Billboard Top 10, Song Line Magazine top 10, Central Asia and Asia Pacific World Music Top 10 and Amazon’s Top 100 albums.
Through his extreme virtuosity, he has won the heart of millions all over the world.
