Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived at the Longines Showroom in Sydney on Friday April 8,  2016 afternoon.  Aishwarya is an ambassador for the Swiss luxury watch brand for the past 17 years. Longines is famous for its motto ”˜elegance is an attitude’, and as a loyal celebrity ambassador Aishwarya certainly fits the brand to a tee.  She wowed Sydney with her appearance at the blue carpet.  She looked stunning and fresh in her dress by Aussie designer ”˜Tony Maticevski’ and her red lips simply carried the look with grace. She was blowing kisses to her fans and posing confidently with that perfect smile. She was soon spotted clicking a selfie with her fans.

“Tony Maticevski’s designs are fantastic and I love this idea of how he makes fabric move and yet it gives it an interesting, modern structure”, she told the media. She also mentioned that there are a few local designers that have captured her heart. Aishwarya signed a poster in store for the launch of the new DolceVita collection, supporting a version of the watch featuring a rectangular face, framed by 46 Wesselton VVS diamonds, and a red alligator strap, priced at $4850, the time piece will be a luxury item for most. Aishwarya indicates the watch on her slender wrist, “While we obviously respect and value time, what I love about these timepieces is again about who I am as a person. It’s elegant, it’s classy and yet it doesn’t scream for attention,” she said.

On Friday night, Aishwarya stepped out at the Longines DoiceBita Asia Pacific Launch in Sydney at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The brand ambassador donned a white, off the shoulder dress with a tulle overlay believed to be by her favourite Melbourne based designer.  Aishwarya posed with her hands in the front pockets of the dress, which appeared to be a strapless honeycomb mesh material which was cinched in at the waist.

Aishwarya made an appearance at Sydney’s Autumn Carnival at Royal Randwick on Saturday April 9, 2016. The 42 year old Aishwarya said she is tremendously grateful and excited for the invitation. Aishwarya expressed her fondness for horse racing as she geared up for Sydney’s Autumn Racing Carnival on Saturday. “I get to admire the beauty, elegance and the grace, and the expertise of the jockeys when they’re at the races, It’s like a little cultural celebration that you all enjoy, and I get to partake in it so thank you all,” she said.

Speaking to media at Sydney Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday, she shared connection between beauty and motherhood. ”˜You can bring the two together’ she began when asked about motherhood and beauty, before continuing ”˜yet they are individual aspects in the sense that beauty goes in tandem with motherhood in its entirety of definition’. She added ”˜And yet motherhood is such a singular experience that I wouldn’t intertwine it with beauty in the context of being a brand ambassador’.

According to the actress, she feels the most elegant when she is at peace with herself, “It’s not about an opportunity, it’s not about an event and it’s not about the clothes, it’s just about being comfortable in your skin.”

Sydneysiders enjoyed seeing her during her short visit to Australia. And for me it was good to see our beautiful Aish right here on Aussie soil. Having met her at Cannes for three days in a row and seen her from up close I was keen to see her again. She came to Sydney to fulfill that desire of mine and of many of us who came to be photographed with the most beautiful woman in the world. And I am proud to say that she is Indian.
