October 14 is the last date for nominations for 2016 Australian Multicultural Marketing Awards

September 21, 2016. Nominations have today opened for the 2016 Australian Multicultural Marketing Awards (AMMAs), recognising excellence in multicultural marketing and communication.

Minister for Multiculturalism John Ajaka launched the opening of nominations for the prestigious Awards, now in their 27th  year.

“The AMMAs honour the best and brightest marketing and communications professionals who communicate cultural diversity through creative, innovative and marketing campaigns,” Mr Ajaka said.

“Almost half of residents in our State have at least one parent born overseas. Multicultural marketing is well and truly mainstream and speaks to us all.

“With ten categories spanning big and small business, government and community organisations, I encourage visionary and driven marketing and communications professionals to apply.

“I particularly encourage applications for the new sport category. Sport is a fantastic way of bringing our community together and this category recognises the commitment of our sporting codes to cultural diversity.”

The AMMAs are a national award program proudly run by the NSW Government. Finalists and winners will be awarded at a national gala ceremony at the Sydney Opera House.
