Srijani Dan wins the title of ‘Colors Singing Megastar Australia 2017’

Srijani Dan, the melody queen of Sydney from Kolkata, won Colors Singing Megastar Australia ”˜ Let your voice fly’ competition on Sunday April 9. The competition was held at Parra Villa Function Lounge, Parramatta by Colors Television and their event partner The Elegant Creations. Recently Colors Indian TV channel has signed director of Elegant Creations Dr. Madhvi Mohindra for the talent hunt showcasing young talent in Australia.
The Singing competition was open to all Indian residents of Australia in solo participation for age groups 12 years and above. The audience of more than a hundred and local media representatives attended the event. The event was hosted by two charming young talented emcees – Rupali Mohindra and Kashif Harrison. They welcomed the audience and introduced all three judges to the audience. The three judges comprised of: Kumud Merani, Promila Gupta and Amit Diwadkar as they sat on this competition which brought out the best of Sydney talent competing to get a spot and a limelight on Indian TV channel.
Singing is form of inner expressions that transcends all age group, mindset and backgrounds and it brings out the happiness in one’s soul. The top five contestants Jagpreet Grover, Pradeep, Hemant and Aadarsh- brilliantly showcased their singing skills along with Srijani, an audience favourite from the very start as the competition progressed. Srijani proved herself to be not just a great singer but a wonderful performer as well. Other four contestants also wowed the judges with their flawless singing. But Sydney’s nightingale Srijani Dan was declared the winner of prestigious Colors Singing Megastar 2017 as well as she won the Audience Choice Award.

Commenting on her win, an ecstatic Srijani said, “I still can’t believe I am holding the trophy in my hand, this truly is the best moment of my life. Singing is my life and passion and winning the competition is like a dream come true”. Srijani wins an all-expense paid trip to Mumbai with once in a lifetime opportunity to get featured on Colors Australia and will also get the chance to witness live shooting of the singing show. Srijani thanked her parents, teachers, friends and supporters and super excited ,when she said, “I will be travelling to Mumbai soon and looking forward to the singing workshop with my favourite singers”.Though she added that her approach towards music will always remain the same irrespective of any success or failure in future as its her oxygen and she cannot live without it !
The evening was a treat for the music connoisseurs when another talented contestant Jagpreet Grover rendered Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s song ”˜Main Jahan rahun’. All eyes were glued to stage when Jagpreet sang effortlessly and performed like a rock star. Highlight of the show was Dheeraj Panjwani’s energetic performance on ”˜Main nikla gaddi lekar’ changed the atmosphere and created more energy in the hall.
Co-founder of Elegant Creations Vikram Mohindra thanked sponsors, media, audience and the judges who attended the event. Director of Elegant Creations Madhvi said, “This competition aims to provide local singing enthusiasts with a global platform to display their creativity”.
Srijani Dan is not just a gifted singer but an exceptional performer and her magnetic performance was the proof. She truly was the winner right from the start. We are sure Srijani will go on and win India when she performs on Colors TV there.
