Indian Consulate announces ‘India Day’ – an event to celebrate Indian culture at Martin Place on August 8

Consulate General of India, Sydney, in association with India Tourism, Sydney will bring a taste of India to Martin Place (West), Sydney on 8th of August, 2017 from 11 AM – 3 PM

‘India Day’ is a free event to celebrate the diverse Indian culture and showcase the growth story of India. India Day will provide a glimpse of successful Government of India initiatives including Make In India, Skill India, Digital India and Startup India.

Along with performances of classical and modern Indian music and dance, the event would also include Yoga demonstration. There will be an opportunity to try out ‘Mehendi’ (A form of temporary body art using herbal ingredients) for free. Indian cuisine will be available for purchase, and the menu will feature savoury curries and sweets.

India Tourism, Sydney will provide details about the many beautiful tourist destinations in India.

There will also be information/ assistance for those who are interested in doing business in India and to assist business communities with general queries.
