Vision 2020 Diwali Spectacular on October 21 aims to support build a ward at Virat Hospice in Madhya Pradesh

Vision 2020  Australia is a voluntary, non-profit and a charitable organisation registered in the State of New South Wales, Australia. Set up in 2003 with the objective of serving the most needy and helpless in the society, Vision 2020’s initial focus is the welfare of children including children living on streets, working in exploitative conditions, children who are sex workers and basically children who have been denied of their basic rights and who do not have a future to look forward to. The focus is now extended to other areas such as the welfare of elderly and infirm.  Up until now Vision2020 has helped to complete 21 projects of high merit across India and Nepal.

After careful research this year Vision 2020 have decided to fundraise to support terminally ill cancer patients and their families through Virat Hospice in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh state, India. We have pledged approx. $28,000 at a   cost of 14 lakhs for building a ward to house 8 patients. Funds were raised through the  Youth Charity Ball in May 2017.  Vision 2020’s upcoming Diwali event  will also be used to support further the Virat Hospice project.
