A great concept ”˜Zaika High Tea with an Indian twist’ the annual event was sold out a week prior and attended by a large number of ladies. It was an exceptional experience of the traditional Indian high tea on a relaxing Sunday afternoon of August 20, 2017 at Roselea Community Centre Carlingford. The venue was packed and bustling with jazzily dressed women busy chatting over high tea. The Indian high tea party was a great success presented by Mirage Events.

The force behind High tea event, Mansi K Bhatia, Rachna Bhatia and Geetika Bhargarva provided us the privilege to enjoy elegant high tea all for a good cause creating awareness for an organisation called Lisa Harnam Foundation. It is a non-profit charitable organisation for immigrant women and a charity for educating domestic violence.

It was truly divine, an afternoon tea prepared and presented with unrivalled passion and dedication.  Afternoon tea is the ultimate way of catching up with friends or simply chilling out. Ladies mingled and mixed bonding with each other making friends and enjoying sipping tea from delicate cups. The exquisite china to the immaculate and elegant set up right through to the food selection was truly amazing. Not to mention the beautiful china teapots and tea cups was exemplary. The set up of the beautiful decor from Decor-A-Shaan’s Nita Tanna was spectacular. Presentation of the tables was simply amazing and food delicious perfect served in all the high tea sets to cutlery.

The handsome Jazeel Mistry, the emcee offered creative interludes, in between, to keep the ladies engaged. Whole afternoon was an interesting affair filled with lot of games, a dance performance, activities for women included a photo booth, there were many stalls selling jewellery, Indian outfits especially hand crafted items and a grooming corner. The event ended with auction, organisers were pleased with all proceeds going to the noble cause.

The theme of the event was Floral and all the ladies dressed in dazzling floral glamorous outfits.  All the women had a wonderful time pampering themselves with everything looking so magical like a fairytale. Ladies talked of holding another fun filled high tea event in the near future that unites women and works towards a worthwhile cause as well.
