Aish dazzles in Sydney!

When the world’s most beautiful woman lands in one of the world’s most beautiful city, it has to be a dazzling experience. International actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was in Sydney as the Longines Ambassador of Elegance, to officially launch the Longines Australian boutique in QVB and to present the Queen’s baton for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The Queen Victoria Building wore an enthusiastic look as the Bollywood queen’s fans were waiting eagerly for her arrival. While some were waiting since 9am for her arrival in the evening, a few fans were seen holding her sketches. Spot on time, she descended the building like a queen in a floor length black Gauri & Nainika gown, accessorised by bold red lipstick, diamond earrings and a Longines watch.
As everyone could not take their eyes off the enchanting beauty, Aishwarya could not take her eyes off the welcoming crowd. She greeted her Indian fans by folding her hands and saying ”˜Namaste’, lovingly posed for photos with kids and signed a few sketches made by her fans.
Calm and composed, the beauty queen joined Longines Vice President and Head of International Marketing, Mr Juan-Carlos Capelli to welcome the Queen’s baton from Amy Pejkovic, Longines Friend and Australian Athlete and officially launch the Longines boutique in Sydney. As the Official Timekeeper of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Official Partner of the Queen’s Baton Relay, Longines also welcomed the Queen’s Baton to the Boutique during the event.
“Thank you very very much yet again Sydney for such a warm welcome, I love you all. The pleasure is all mine being here. Thank you Longines for having me and receiving the Queen’s baton from Amy, it’s been a pleasure meeting you”, said Aishwarya.
Mr Juan-Carlos Capelli, Longines VP and Head of International Marketing, with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ambassador of Elegance, carrying officially the 2018 Queen’s Baton.
As the international actress went inside the new boutique after officially cutting the ribbon, she attentively toured the store and posed with the staff and key dignitaries for photos. While it also said that she is here to celebrate her husband Abhishek Bachchan’s birthday in Sydney with her daughter Aradhaya, she graciously accepted birthday wishes on his behalf. It seems as Australia has become her favourite destination after she hoisted the flag last year in Melbourne during the Indian film festival.
Painting a picture of elegance and beauty in the mind of Sydney, Aishwarya left many spellbound with her beauty, elegance and poise. No wonder she is the world’s most beautiful woman and the pride of India. Australia is always ready to welcome the queen with open arms!
