Safal Fest this October 5th-7th: A unique showcase of South Asian Film, Art & Literature

SAFAL Fest is the flagship event of the Australian South Asia Forum Inc. It is the only event in the world to combine film, performing & fine arts and literature of the dynamic South Asian region which is a significant contributor to world economic growth as well as an increasing source of skilled human talent to much of the developed world.

This year SAFAL Fest will be held from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th October 2018 in the City of Ryde, Sydney, Australia.

The program includes South Asian film screenings, East-West fusion music workshop, a Gala Awards Dinner night attended by local and international luminaries and dance, music performances, talent hunt, author talks, arts exhibition and more. Last year the festival attracted close to a thousand visitors. This year is expected to be bigger with the addition of a ”˜Business & Trade Expo’ to encourage entrepreneurship and collaboration with South Asia.

3 Day Event, All Indoors

The 2018 Festival programme Outline is as below:

• DAY 1 The SAFAL Gala Awards Dinner, Friday 5th Oct 2018, 7pm for 7.30 start to 10.30pm finish
• Venue: Next Gen Club Function Centre, Ryde Aquatic Centre, Victoria Road, Ryde.
• This is a premium formal, 3 course set menu dinner event with wine. Dress code: Maharajah / Maharani
• Live performances, VIPs and luminaries in attendance, Bollywood dance party after dinner.
• Awards will be presented to distinguished persons in recognition of achievements

• DAY 2 SAFAL Fest Event Day, Saturday 6th Oct 2018, 10am till 8.00pm
• Venue: Next Gen Club Function Centre, Ryde Aquatic Centre, Victoria Road, Ryde.
• Full day of music, dance, panel discussions, art & film appreciation, book readings, workshop(s), talent hunt competition, art exhibition and sale.
• Business and Trade expo, product sampling
• Live performances, VIPs and luminaries in attendance
• Food & beverages available for purchase ”“ no outside food / drinks allowed
• Auditorium style seating
• DAY 3 SAFAL Fest Film Screenings / Premiere, Sunday 7th Oct 2018, Afternoon ”“”“
• Venue: Event Cinemas, Ryde.
• 1 or 2 film screenings
• Potentially attended by major cast or crew of the films

SAFAL 2018 is seeking Sponsorships – ranging in categories starting with   Titanium at $500, Silver $3000 (One), Gold $5000 (One) and Platinum at $7000 (One). There are also Souvenir advertisements available.

Safal is looking to partner with patrons of arts and literature, businesses interested in niche market opportunities in the local South Asian community as well as collaborations in the South Asian region.
