Akshay and Vidya Balan excel in Mangal Mission

A Review by Gita Malik

Mission Mangal is the story of space scientists who give their heart and soul to Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM).
Very well played by the obsessed space scientist Akshay Kumar supported by the equally obsessed average housewife cum scientist, Vidya Balan. Juggling home duties and her passion for beyond the stars, her attitude to life is based on logic, whether it’s making puris or fuelling the spaceship. Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari beautiful in their simplicity carry the movie on their talented shoulders.
Using home science and basic sense, the team makes an impossible Mars mission possible only because of their determination and to bring pride to country. A perfect release for Independence Day, makes us proud to reinforce that India was the First Nation to reach the Martian orbit in its first attempt! Informative   to see the scientists behind ”˜Mangalyaan’ space rocket that was   launched on 5, November 2013 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

I give Mission Mangal a rating of 4/5 stars.
