Vision 2020 celebrates Diwali by staging ‘Abhijana Shakunthalam’ on October 12
Vision 2020 is celebrating Diwali this year with a grand ballet based on the great Indian poet Kalidasa’s immortal drama ‘Abhijana Shakunthalam’.
This ballet, exclusively choreographed by Sydney’s renowned artist Ms Hamsa Venkat & presented by Samskriti School of Dance; will be a rich cultural experience for all age groups. The event is organised on Saturday 12 October 2019 6.30 PM at the Performing Arts Center, Pacific Hills Christian School ( A State of Art Theater) 9-15 Quarry Road Dural.
Vision 2020 is a registered charity organisation based in Sydney which has supported and raised funds for 23 infra -structure development projects in India, Nepal etc, providing buses, ambulances, generators, wheel chairs, toilets etc
Fresh food and free parking available at the venue to make it a totally enjoyable evening. As always, the focus is on charity and this year Vision 2020 is supporting a unique organisation REHOBOTH (Shelter) which has been providing shelter and rehabilitation facilities to destitute women with mental health issues. This is one of the most vulnerable sections of the communities that need the most help, support and succour. Say the organisers, “Together let us provide that. Women at the REHOBOTH rehabilitation facility at Paraniputhur in rural Tamil Nadu. Do join our group as members and contribute in the cause.”
