Interview with the cast and director of ‘The Girl On The Train’

Netflix’s film The Girl on the Train  adapted from Paula Hawkings’ novel is all set for release on 26 February. Written and directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, the film is a mystery thriller and stars Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari, Avinash Tiwary in pivotal roles.

In a candid conversation, Neeru Saluja talks to the team behind the film. As director Ribhu Dasgupta tells us how he moulded the script from the bestseller book to suit an Indian audience, the diverse characters of the film give their views on their roles which play various shades.

Parineeti Chopra, who plays the lead role tells us how she was destined to play the role of Meera, and how tears were her biggest co-stars. Aditi Rao Hydari who joined the train journey as the mysterious girl tells us how she enjoys playing turbulent characters on reel. Kirti Kulhari, who plays the role of a hardcore British cop learnt kick boxing to get into the character. Avinash Tiwary shares a few special strengths about his female co-stars and how he sees Parineeti as a future film producer.
