Jasprit Bumrah ties the knot!

We all know Jasprit Bumrah, age 27, as a fast bowler respected in India and overseas for his speed and accuracy. He has taken 83 wickets in 19 Tests for India at an average of 22.10, his best figures being 6 for 27. In 67 One Day Internationals he has taken 108 wickets at an average of 25.33, best spell being 5 for 27.

However his best spell came last week, I mean his tying the knot over the weekend! A romantic spell, no less!

His getting married came as a surprise to all his fans. On Monday he took to social media to share the news of his marriage to popular and attractive sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan from Pune.

Jasprit wrote on social media, “Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you.”

Jasprit and Sanjana reportedly tied the knot in a private ceremony in Goa. He had opted out of the fourth Test against England earlier this month citing personal reasons. He is rested for the ongoing T20 International series against England in Ahmedabad.

Now we know why! We all wish the sporting couple a Happy and long married life.
